Woodland Stallion Station is an Equestrian Center located just minutes from the Sacramento Airport in Woodland, California. Founded in 1983, the Station originally designed as a reproductive center has grown into a premier boarding, training, and show venue. Owner Keila Golden is a lifelong Arabian enthusiast currently showing in sport horse classes in Region 3. WSS hosts multiple rated events including USEA Horse Trials, hunter/jumper and dressage shows, driving events, warmblood inspections, and numerous clinics and demonstrations throughout the year.
Woodland Stallion Station is home to two trainers: USDF Silver Medalist Susan Garmier and USDF Bronze Medalist Amanda Jarose, who offer lessons and training in Dressage, Hunters, Jumpers, and Eventing. Both trainers have a warm, encouraging style and develop lasting friendships with their clients.
WSS is developing a sport horse breeding program, utilizing the incomparable Grand Prix dressage stallion KB Omega Fahim++++// and the American Hanoverian studbook approved Al Khamsa Arabian mare DC Reata. Their 2018 Arabian filly is not for sale – please inquire as to future foals.
Stallions standing at WSS are Morgan world champion Wintergreen Beaufort, and the young Gypsy Vanner The King Maker. Stallions enjoy box stalls with fans, lights, and automatic fly sprayers, with daily turnout in private, tree-lined paddocks. Larry Haas, who has been at WSS for 25 years, oversees all collection and transport, as well as foaling out mares with the help of the FoalAlert system.
With 101 gently rolling acres surrounded by the vineyards, olive, and almond orchards of rural Yolo County, our grounds are private, quiet, and uniquely beautiful, breathtaking views. Staff live onsite and are always eager to give tours!
